If you've thought new Orleans to be one of the most charming cities (with French influence) in the states, I would strongly disagree. Nola has nothing on Charleston,SC. I've been throughout the popular cities along the east coast, and CHarleston has the most elegant historic homes. Along the East battery strip, you find yourself coming along eloquent 3 story homes one after the other. All framed by palm trees of course, some of them reflecting ties to the French influence. Within each home I discovered enchanting courtyards. So enchanting I couldn't help myself but stick my hand through their gateways to snatch candid photos. Now I don't mean to diss the big easy, but charleston definitely puts Nola in it's place as the dirty south. I'm still checking out the eatery scene, so stay tune!Today we were so awe struck with the architecture
here, that we did nothing but take photos like crazy tourists. But we were not the only ones. It appears it's the only thing to do around here.

recap: I apologize about yesterday evenings post. I had to rush through it as I was getting ready for dinner. But as a closure to yesterday's evening walk: its nostalgic in it's own way. But its a reminder how out there, somewhere, there's a place that can do it better.
