One of the best things about vanity, it updates me with my progress at the gym. For the past month I've been trying to gain weight and get tone at the same time. This might be one of the hardest things to do. Especially when you come into this project with a high metabolism. I'm currently underweight at 98 lbs, and I'm trying to reach 103 lbs. I've gone a long way for the past two months to succeed 4 lbs already. I'm 50 percent from the finish line.

Many of you may know it as crayfish or mudbugs. To me, it's yummy in my tummy. Definitely worth the high sodium intake. This past weekend I had my regular weekly dose of Crawfish from a local restaurant called Sammys. I've tried many places from Baton Rouge, but Sammys has own its number one spot in my list til this day. Last week they were selling it 3.95 a lb. This week prices are climbing up throughout the entire city. At Sammy's they've had about a 25 cent increase already. What happen to those days when they sold it for $1.50 a lb? Nonetheless, its worth every single penny. A combination of Cajun spices enriched with savory buttery flavors; a genius combo boiled to satisfy your taste buds. If you ever make a pit stop by friendly Baton Rouge on your way to New Orleans, do try Sammys.

Spring It.

  Season's Change, and so does the taste buds for our beauty palette. Everything gets lighten up once Spring comes around. We exchange our coats/boots for shorts and platform sandals. Suddenly, we switch our foundations from shades of Snow White to tan/beige hues in resemblance to the skin palette of Ms. Pocahontas. We get in a more laid back mood, jamming to tunes with lyrics that fall somewhere along the line, 'summer breeze, makes me feel fine.' The binge planning for vacations and play dates with the sun starts to lift off, and suddenly we find ourselves adjusting to the weather change with welcome arms. It's our call for a different look to our daily looks. Requesting anything that is more easy and less maitnenance, so that we can savor all the time we can get to enjoy the wonderful weather. I've collected a few of my favorites from the Spring RTW '11 collection, to give a few ideas. Hope you have fun with it!
